We had a nice time in Charleston visting the Browns but I never took my camera out. Perhaps later I'll get some of Molly's pics but in the meantime here are pics I took from Facebook.

VOICES concert

Our Voices (formerly CHCC) concert was Friday night and Saturday afternoon.  There is a detailed review  available. Moody loved it as well as the 12 other folks from our block who came Saturday afternoon.  It was all Latino/Carribean/Argentine music, mostly in Spanish with great percussion including a steel drum.  We sold more tickets than budgeted which is nice.

Today, Moody and I went to Amahl and the Night Visitors which had many of my Durham Savoyard friends in it.  It was also wonderful.  It was produced by the Long Leaf Opera Company which is going out of business this summer.

Birthday Visitors

ML and Georgia came for a 2-night visit to help us celebrate my 59th Bday. She wanted me to be sure to remind folks that I have a few menus on my cookbook blog.

Untraditional Thanksgiving

John and Carol visited us for Thanksgiving this year.  Since John is not a turkey fan we had baked ham, spoonbread, salad, peas & pearls, pineapple cassserole,sweet potato biscuits, and pecan pie.  Mrs. Ringling's meatballs made an appearance as well.  This morning we started off with buckwheat cakes followed by a lovey hike at the N. C. Botanical Gardens and tuckered the dogs out.

Meet Our New Granddog, Georgia

Georgia is part black lab and part pit bull.  She's a rescue dog that ML and Robert adopted Saturday.  She's about 5 years old and has a sweet temperament.  Georgia appears to be getting along with Toby and TJ which says a lot.  Not sure how they are doing with her.

Liddy's Memorial service leaflet and post pics

The last page of the leaflet indicated that ARTEK was permenently dedicating its concert series to Liddy Guiher.  These are modestly-priced evening concerts of chamber music held at Immamuel Lutheran Church.  This year's concerts are on November 3, January 26 and April 19.  I hope to be able to get to at least one of these.
