End of May

We had a very nice visit with Rob and Linda Friday and Saturday.  We went out on a large pontoon boat yesterday along with Sue and Scott.  It was so nice to have Scott pilot the boat for 4.5 hours. The weather was perfect.  We had a great picnic on the boat with deviled eggs, ham biscuits, tuna salad, zucchini and cucumber spiral salad, watermelon, and yummy strawberries.  A whole big bag of M&Ms got consumed as well. Before going to Talullah's for a Turkish dinner, Rob and Linda swam 25 laps in our pool. Today it's raining....

Ned and Royal spent Tuesday night here on their way back home from South Carolina. It was so nice to hear Ned play the piano!

Got approval to replace a double window in my den with a 3-panel sliding glass door. It will take up most of the outside wall.

Ah, May!

May is such a pretty month with flowers blooming and prom dresses. My roses are just now starting to bloom along with my hydrangeas and yarrow.  The peonies were blooming during my trip to CA. Sim and I attended a wonderful weekend Bar Mitzvah in Redwood City, CA for his great nephew. The reformed temple served a 6-foot iced challa after the service. It was most delicious!

Rebecca and Hailey had their senior proms this month. My chorus had its Spring concert of Mozart and Haydn. And I am expecting some company this week. Below are some pics.

Arlo's Second Birthday

Sim and I traveled to Fairfax to help celebrate Arlo's birthday. Robert's parents and sister were also there.  Ester made all the food for the party and ML & I made the cakes and cookies. Arlo's daycare provider came with her children. Everything was quite wonderful. The next day we celebrated Mother's Day with bacon and pancakes thanks to Robert.
