There seem to be no pictures of Mary Laurel and Robert in all of this but we had a great time visiting them in Hampden and watched "Goodfellows" after coming home from Bill and Melva's house where Melva prepared a super holiday dinner.

Went to the Chapel Hill Community Chorus concert tonight. Think I will join their summer sing and consider joining the regular chorus in the fall. Been researching Doggie Kennels for keeping the puppies. Decided on a doggy camp with duplex bungalows for the dogs. see website. http://www.companioncamp.net/index.html

Mother's Day in Charleston WV

We had a great time visiting Patti and Jeff. We had a wonderful beef tenderloin dinner the night we arrived, then Sat evening we went to CLOG's production of South Pacific which was super. On Mother's Day we had breakfast with Bill Maxwell, went to St. John's then up to Edgewood for a lovely lunch with Jim, Canky and the Agstens. That evening Jeff, Moody and I went to Mountain Stage while Patti dog sat.

Early One Morning in May

Ned and Royal came for a surprise visit May 7 . We gave them a tour of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Pittsboro which included ice cream at S & T Soda Shopppe.


Derby Party - May 2 - We had about 16 folks over to enjoy the race including one winner who correctly chose the winning horse and took the whole pot of $28. We had mint juleps, sangria, ham biscuts, KFC chicken, shrimp, cheese, pate and crackers, and hot cheese crackers. Guests included Ken and Mickey, Terry, David, Ron, Bill, Mary S., Bob and Pat, Tim and his girl friend (who won the purse), Clara, Rita and Boniface (from Camaroon), and Neil and Pansy. I was too busy to take photos during the party.
