CHCC Xmas Concert

We gave two enjoyable concerts Friday and Saturday evenings at Hill Hall. Below is a link to the review.

I'm sure pictures will be coming. Friday night was a better performance as there was a slight glitch Saturday night. All the eleven tickets I sold were for Friday night so they got a tip top performance. Some of our neighbors gave Moody a ride to and from the concert.

Birthday Celebrations

It was so nice to have Mary Laurel and Robert come visit for my birthday. We went to Carolina Inn for dinner on the 10th and stayed home on the 11th and grilled a rack of lamb, yum! Mary Laurel made some beautiful Asian-inspired napkins for me so on Saturday lunch, we had dim sum at home.

I don't thnk any of these are good enough to be holiday greeting cards.

St. Andrew's Day Winers

We had about 25 folks over for a St. Andrew's Day (Nov. 30) wine party. St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland so everyone wore plaid. I made my Scottish meat pies and one friend brought haggis and another brought shortbread. David contributed the single malt scotch which was a big hit. We also had latkes contribution because the party was on the first night of Hanukah.

Thanksgiving

The Burts, Browns, and Bileks met at ML and Robert's for a Thanksgiving feast. Dishes included the traditional American and Philipinne favs. Besides Robert's parents (Larry & Esther) and sister (Gemma), were his cousin (Ophelia) and her family (Gary and Sean) who came for the day from Richmond. Additionally, a colleague of Robert's (Andrew) came for dinner. On Friday, we all went over to the Chamblee's for a Hart gathering which included Ned and Royal and all the Guihers and Fergusons. Ping Pong was the entertainment of choice and Catharine was the big winner.
