Labor Day

This is not a memorable holiday. Tennis was mostly rained out and it was too hot and humid here to go out other than to walk the dogs. I have been working on my kitchen remodel but ran into a glitch concerning the island and how big it can be w/o needing to build a wall.  Also am changing my mind about the color of the granite. I have picked out a new sink, faucet, and range top, but have not purchased anything.

This was the first summer in over 32 years that I did not go to Nantucket in August. It seemed too sad to go when there would be no Moody, no Liddy, and no Mary Laurel there. ML was too far away with no vacation, but she and Robert had a lovely anniversary weekend on the Pacific coast. Patti and Jeff spent their anniversary at the Red Sox game then drove all the way home to Charleston the next day. Below are some pics from this week.
